A Smile That Gives Back

How Farmington Family Dental helps patients invest in their smiles, and in their communities

Investment looks different for everyone.

For some, it’s financial security. For others, it’s personal growth or building something that lasts. But for Dr. Steven and Dr. Abby Perry of Farmington Family Dental, investment begins with health and the understanding that a healthy smile can influence every aspect of a life.

Dr. Steven Perry knew early on that dentistry was his calling. As an Eagle Scout, he began shadowing a dentist at just 11 years old. After graduating from dental school in Cleveland, Ohio, he entered a system largely driven by insurance limitations. It didn’t take long to realize he wanted something different.

“I couldn’t always get people healthy the way I felt they deserved,” he explains. “There were restrictions that made it difficult to provide comprehensive care. I wanted the freedom to treat patients thoughtfully and completely.”

In 2020, he opened his own practice in Farmington. What began with a team of just over a dozen has since grown to 35 employees, expanding services and administrative support to better care for patients at every stage of life.

Located on East Karsch Boulevard, their practice has become a trusted space for families across the Parkland region,  not simply because of the services they provide, but because of the standard of care they deliver. There’s an ease to the environment. A warmth. A sense that patients are seen and heard rather than rushed.

For the Perrys, dentistry is not simply about procedures. It’s about restoring confidence, improving comfort, and helping people regain parts of their lives they may have been quietly avoiding.

Farmington Family Dental offers full-service dentistry, from preventive care to advanced restorative and cosmetic procedures. Every comprehensive exam includes digital imaging and oral cancer screenings, performed at each routine visit.

“Oral cancer screenings are something we take very seriously,” Dr. Steven says. “Early detection matters. It’s a simple step that can make an enormous difference.”

Preventative care protects against cavities, gum disease, and inflammation while supporting overall wellness. maintaining dental care is truly an investment in longevity.

It’s easy to postpone a cleaning when life gets busy. However, research continues to link oral health to broader systemic health, reinforcing the idea that  preventative dental care remains one of the wisest long-term investments a person can make. Comprehensive exams, professional cleanings, digital imaging, and oral cancer screenings allow their team to identify concerns early often before discomfort appears.

“Prevention is always less invasive than treatment,” Dr. Steven explains. “When we catch something early, we preserve more of the natural tooth and protect long-term health.”

When restorative care is needed, Farmington Family Dental offers a full range of solutions designed to restore both function and aesthetics. From medical to cosmetic, their practice offers comprehensive care that you can trust.

“Our goal is always to save what we can and restore what we must,” Dr. Steven says. “We want treatment to feel like an investment in the future, not just a quick fix. When someone feels confident in their smile, it changes how they interact with the world,” Dr. Perry says.

Access to care remains a priority. The practice offers in-house membership plans that include two cleanings and X-rays annually, along with third-party financing options designed to make ongoing care manageable and approachable.

Beyond the walls of the office, their commitment to investment extends into the Parkland community. Each May and November, they host “Hero Smiles,” providing complimentary dental care to veterans. In 2025 alone, they donated $111,000 in services to veterans in the region.

They remain deeply involved in local organizations such as CASA, the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Toys for Tots, in addition to supporting educational outreach programs and monthly charitable initiatives. For the Perrys, a thriving practice and a thriving town go hand in hand.

“My kids are growing up here,” Dr. Steven Perry says. “If we want a strong community, we have to invest in it.”

And when you invest in your dental health and choose maintenance, education, and confidence, you’re not just investing in your smile. You’re investing in your wellbeing, your longevity, and your ability to show up fully in your life.

At Farmington Family Dental, that investment is personal, and its impact reaches far beyond the chair.

“We want people to feel comfortable and fully understand their options. There’s no judgment, we’re here to help whether it’s functional, medical, or cosmetic.”  - Abby Perry
