Co-founder Benoit Racquet earned his degree as a Master Chocolatier in Belgium in 2009. Together with his wife Sylvie Fortin they founded BE Chocolat in 2014 as a small cottage business in Fairfield. They opened their first Atelier in 2021, and expanded to Greenwich Harbor in 2023 with Salon BE Chocolat, recognized by both Forbes and Condé Nast Traveler.
Located in the Delmar Hotel’s reception, the Greenwich salon offers a beautiful daily-changing display of exquisite treats alongside an exclusive tasting experience where hotel guests and customers can pair pralines with Prosecco Rosé. Their chocolate experience advisor is also available to guide you through an array of pralines and confections, or help customers select chocolates suited to their needs, events, and holidays.
As February approaches, BE Chocolat’s BE Romantic Box is a standout. It features a Champagne-Raspberry Heart -- a bright red chocolate shell filled with organic raspberry, Laurent-Perrier Brut champagne, and Belgian white chocolate ganache over a thin layer of dark Belgian chocolate; the Salted Caramel Heart -- a sweet indulgence slowly crafted with Vermont grass-fed cream butter; and the Yellow Heart -- a Biscoff cookie ganache enrobed in yellow-colored white chocolate.
