Allen, Texas, may be thousands of miles from the sun-soaked tavernas of Greece, the bustling tapas bars of Barcelona, and the rustic trattorias of Italy, but international chef Andreas Kotsifos brings the same worldly flavors to the suburbs with Andreas Prime Steaks & Seafood.
A native of Greece, Andreas—the executive chef and owner of the upscale restaurant that opened in July 2023—traveled extensively throughout Europe, honing his palate before moving to New York. There, he opened his first restaurant, Café Inferno, which showcased Californian-Mediterranean cuisine. Since then, his forty-plus years of culinary experience have taken him across Athens, Barcelona, Rome, Paris, Manhattan, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Dallas, where he served as executive chef at the renowned The Palm before it closed.
At his namesake restaurant, Andreas focuses on the refinement of French cuisine, weaving those influences throughout both the menu and the space. Art Nouveau touches set the tone, with elegant peacock motifs appearing in stained glass and artwork. The dining room exudes French cosmopolitan style: a long banquette anchors the space, chandeliers sparkle overhead, and candlelight enhances the warm, romantic ambiance.
The bar and lounge carry a speakeasy charm, offering guests a full bar with signature cocktails such as the Andreas Old Fashioned, served in a smoked cloche, and the floral Lavender 75. Alongside, diners can enjoy an impressive, curated wine list and tableside martini cart service—an experience that elevates each evening into something memorable.
The menu is equally cosmopolitan. While Andreas Prime Steaks & Seafood honors the tradition of a classic steakhouse, Chef Andreas infuses each dish with European flair. Small shareable plates such as lamb meatballs, oysters Rockefeller, and roasted escargot burgundy recall the conviviality of Spanish tapas culture. Signature entrées highlight French sophistication, from Bouillabaisse (a seafood medley in saffron-fennel broth) and Lobster Thermidor to Beef Wellington wrapped in phyllo with mushroom duxelles and sauce périgourdine.
A raw bar, inspired by the aristocratic dining traditions of Europe, elevates the experience further with caviar service, steak tartare, tuna tartare, and freshly shucked oysters. Even quintessential steakhouse selections—prime filet mignon, dry-aged tomahawk ribeye, and A5 Japanese Wagyu—carry Andreas’s unmistakable touch.
“It’s all in the touch,” Chef Kotsifos explains. His homemade breads, French onion soup, and lobster bisque are already house favorites. Dessert is no less spectacular, with flambe carts presenting tableside classics like bananas Foster and baked Alaska.
Whether for a romantic date, an anniversary, a milestone celebration, or simply the joy of experiencing fine cuisine inspired by the flavors of Europe, Andreas Prime Steaks & Seafood offers Allen an unparalleled dining destination.
Beyond nightly service, Andreas Prime Steaks & Seafood has become a hub for special occasions and culinary events. Over the past year, the restaurant has hosted exclusive tasting dinners paired with world-class wines from estates such as Caymus Vineyards and Duckhorn Vineyard. Seasonal celebrations—Easter and Mother’s Day brunch, Thanksgiving dinner, and themed events like Barcelona Nights featuring flamenco performances—draw guests from across North Texas. The restaurant also has a private dining room for private events, with customized or a la carte menus.
