You don’t need a passport or a plane ticket to get a taste of Positano. Via Posa, recently opened in Fairfield by Ariane and Massimo Carro, brings the warmth, flavors and hospitality of the Amalfi Coast to our own backyard.
For Massimo, hospitality is in the family. His family has spent 70 years in the business and currently owns the five-star, family-run Covo dei Saraceni in Positano. That same spirit of family, quality and genuine Italian hospitality is at the heart of Via Posa.
The vibe is thoughtful, welcoming and relaxed, whether you’re stopping in for lunch, grabbing dinner to take home or dine in for a great meal. The casual food is centered around simple, authentic Italian street food, including paninis, pizza and fresh pastas, made with high-quality imported ingredients. Among the standouts is the mortadella pistachio pizza, housemade Neapolitan Lasagna and Ravioli Max. Breads and desserts are also made in-house, adding even more to that feeling of being transported. The quality of the ingredients are anything but casual. Via Posa sources specialties from Italy, including Fior di Latte from the Campania region.
Leading the kitchens at both Via Posa and the couple’s other restaurant, Posa, in Ridgefield, is Executive Chef Mitro Satriano.

Fairfield has quickly embraced this new neighborhood spot. As early as their second week open, Ariane and Massimo say they’re already had regulars come through the door. For the couple, that warm response from the community has been especially rewarding as this town has quickly made Via Posa part of its great dining scene.
