Since opening their doors in September, the accomplished healthcare team at Be Well + Flourish, Integrative Health Partners, has a unique message: “Come as you are. We treat the whole person, not just a specific illness. We believe it’s more than just healthcare, it’s life care.”

Be Well + Flourish provides evidence-based medicine combined with an integrative approach to treating patients’ physical, mental, and emotional health. “We believe that every person is much more than their disease or their trauma,” says Tyler Hayes Rueff, a Certified Professional Life Coach and cofounder of Be Well + Flourish. “Our brains and our bodies have an innate ability to heal from the
inside out,’’ adding that since the beginning of COVID-19, the United States has seen a 40.9 percent increase in patients dealing with anxiety and depression.

Tyler specializes in trauma-related recovery, addiction recovery, personal development and emotional resilience and received personal recognition in traumatic stress-related studies through the JRI, Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk’s Institute. Prior to this, Tyler achieved success as an award-winning songwriter for over 20 years with Warner Brothers in Los Angeles; one of her biggest accomplishments was co-writing Little Big Town’s hit “Bring It On Home.”

Seeing the powerful healing effect music could have on people, she transitioned to her current practice using music as the primary resource for helping clients work through barriers which kept them from living a fulfilling life. “I discovered a need to partner with an integrative physician willing to look beyond traditional medicine,” says Tyler, which led to her now serving as the primary life strategist
with Be Well + Flourish.

“Creating this practice has been a blessing because we provide exactly what our patients want and need,” says Angie Boyd-Chambers, communications, brand strategist, and partner with Be Well + Flourish. “Our services include primary care, life coaching, healing with song writing, acupuncture, IV Therapy, and corporate wellness programs.”

While Tyler serves patients emotional needs, Dr. Leah Cordovez treats the physical side. Dr. Cordovez is a double board-certified physician in integrative and internal medicine and is recognized as a prestigious Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Upon completing her residency at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, she joined St. Thomas Medical Partners.

Notes Dr. Cordovez, “Creating my own kind of practice was my dream. It allows me to spend the right amount of time with every patient. Medicine is an art, a recipe we all make just a little differently. To treat the whole person, we need to spend time with patients to allow for generous information exchanges, establish relationships and build trust. I ask questions to get to the root of problems and
develop life-changing solutions and life-long relationships.”
