A Window Into Your Dream Home

Window coverings don’t have to be ‘pane-ful’ … House of Window Coverings can help

Lori Catton and her business partner, James “JC” Catton, acquired House of Window Coverings in 2019 after 30 years in the technology industry.

“We decided we wanted to do something completely different. We wanted to have a very individually customer-centric business,” stated Lori Catton, co-owner of House of Window Coverings. “By moving into the window treatment industry, we are able to help people on a very personal level by fine-tuning their aesthetic and functionality to convert their house into a home. It also helps to create a sanctuary from life's chaos."

Lori and JC quickly took on the challenge of learning the particulars of the new industry and creating relationships with colleagues and customers. They credit the success of House of Window Coverings to their staff. “We knew in starting this business there would be a lot to learn, but the transition was so smooth and, at times, fun thanks to the great team of professionals on our staff,” declared Lori.

House of Window Coverings is locally owned and operated, so they know the neighborhood and understand local preferences, weather impacts, and design styles. Backed by a team of experts and a customer-centric approach, House of Window Coverings aims to satisfy their clients by making every project perfect. Customers can have peace of mind making their purchase because the dedicated team is always ready to provide their professional insight.

“We provide custom window treatments for residential and commercial properties. Our services include the design, measurement, and installation of window coverings,” said Lori, “Blinds, shades, shutters, drapes … everything we sell is custom-made.”

House of Window Coverings has the most extensive window treatment showroom in Las Vegas, with products to cover every budget. Upon entering the Hunter Douglas Gallery showroom, located at 4960 South Fort Apache Road, Suite 410, customers are greeted by a design consultant who can answer questions about the various products on display, as well as those that are not.

The design consultants take time to understand the goals of every customer to ensure they provide appropriate options to meet the customers’ preferred design aesthetics. And the highly trained staff knows the intricacies of design, measuring, and installation of window fashions – even for challenging specialty windows, such as arches and angle tops.

“We can also help you with motorized blinds and shades,” said Lori. “Overall, we’re committed to providing you with a thoroughly satisfying shopping experience.”

Trend alert! In less than five years, Lori has learned to recognize current design trends in window coverings. Energy-saving products, which are specially engineered to provide outstanding insulation for year-round comfort, are quite popular in the Las Vegas Valley. Homeowners opt to combine energy-saving features with motorization and automation, which House of Window Coverings can add to almost any design.

“Shutters are still classic, especially in southwest architecture and arched windows, but many homeowners are opting for a more modern aesthetic in newer construction,” added Lori. “Roller shades and Roman shades are popular, but surprisingly curtains and draperies are making a comeback.”

Lori invites Las Vegas locals to visit House of Window Coverings for all their window treatment needs. She concluded, “When you look at the combination of quality, customer service, expertise, and product selection we provide, you can’t beat our prices. You’ll have peace of mind that your products are measured and installed for optimal performance and beauty.”
