Alamo Springs Cafe is a beloved burger restaurant in Fredericksburg, Texas. Founded in 2006, our no-frills down-home food quickly drew the attention of burger lovers and weekend warriors looking for a meal off the beaten path.

Originally an old saddle shop, the Alamo Springs Cafe building was purchased by the former owner and moved to the middle of nowhere to become a cafe and general store. But soon the burgers were outpacing everything else, and the general store was dropped in favor of serving all burgers, all the time.

We’re located on the outskirts of Fredericksburg right next to Old Tunnel State Park, one of the most unique parks in Texas. The park houses an old railway tunnel that was abandoned in 1942. Since then, it’s become home for more than three million Mexican free-tailed bats. Visit the park at sunset to watch them all fly out!

Alamo Springs Cafe is owned and operated by restaurant industry veteran Brian O’Neill. He has managed major Austin restaurants like Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden, Uchi, Max’s Wine Dive, and Gus’s Fried Chicken. He may have fancy credentials, but he’s a good ol’ boy at heart. Stop by and introduce yourself!
