Alligator Alley

Teaching habitat and humanity one guest at the time

Looking for family fun that is educational and memorable? We've found the perfect place for you and your friends/family to check out! Just as no two parks or wetlands are the same, neither are wildlife sanctuaries.

Alligator Alley located in Summerdale, AL offers its residents a unique and one-of-a-kind experience. In 2004 owner Wes Moore opened a sanctuary for alligators. These "nuisance animals" had lost their fear of humans and needed a safe space to call home. Wes created the perfect environment and has been sharing his passion since. This self-guided adventure allows its guests to walk along the elevated platform for viewing. Visitors can enjoy watching the alligators during all phases of life as well as the local wildlife who have also come to call this unique place home. The park can accommodate up to 150 people, is handicap accessible, and kid friendly/safe; making this space perfect for birthday parties, field trips, or as a gathering space for nature enthusiasts.

For those who are curious about what it's like to feed the alligators, Alligator Alley will allow you to learn firsthand, (with guidance and supervision of course.) Photography is encouraged.

Park hours during the season are 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 7 days per week.
