Ingredients

  • 20 limes
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup agave nectar
  • 10-20 aloe leaves
  • 1 gallon filtered water

Steps

  1. Fill a large sauce pan with 1 gallon of water and bring to boil.
  2. Cut 15 limes in half, squeeze juice into separate bowl and set aside.
  3. Add the squeezed limes to pot.
  4. Add lime juice to boiling water and continue to boil for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove limes from water.
  6. Add brown sugar, agave syrup and lemon juice from one lemon, mix until brown sugar is dissolved, remove from heat.
  7. Cut aloe leaves longways, place upside down in a separate bowl and allow leaves to drain (approx. 20 minutes).
  8. Peel aloe leaves and place aloe gel into a bowl with 1/2 cup of your margarita mix.
  9. Muddle the aloe, then strain back into margarita mix on stove, stir well and remove from heat.
  10. Allow aloe margarita mix to cool. Garnish and rim glasses with salt, sugar, or even bee pollen. Serve individually with your favorite tequila and top off with aloe leaf for the perfect appeal.
