ARTIST BIO: Samantha Kathryn
Samantha is an artist and photographer who captures nature, travel, and adventure. Originally from Pennsylvania, she has since lived throughout the Southwest and fell in love with the beautiful state of Arizona.
During her time living in Tucson, her favorite city, she captured dramatic moments of light, dreamy visions, and fantastical desert-scapes, showing the beauty of the Sonoran worlds.

"I traveled to the highest point in Tucson. Snaking my way along the cliffside through the storm, I had made it to the top of Mount Lemmon. But through the storm, high above it all, I came upon a heavenly cloudscape. A true island in the sky. I felt as though I had stepped into a dream. A sea of clouds, soft pinks, and purples floating high among the Mountain peak.
Mt Lemmon had never looked more whimsical, dreamy, and romantic. I watched as the colors danced and the light faded from sunset to night. This vision would be one I remember forever. A fantastical evening, now a daydream.
The happiness and peace that mountain brought me was healing. It became my spot, my place. The place I look forward to visiting, the place I felt the rest of the world melt away."
Samantha said she hopes her romantic images connect others to the vitality in nature and on our earth. Through her photography, she seeks to capture the magic and fantasy of our world. I hope this series brings you happiness in the romantic sights and the desert dreamscape that is Southern Arizona.
