Celebrate Independence Day at Prairie Village’s 30th Annual VillageFest Celebration on July 4 in Harmon Park. Festivities begin with a pancake breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Activities throughout the day run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Returning favorites include a giant slip and slide, children’s parade, live music, children’s crafts, bounce houses and other inflatables, petting zoo, face painters, and much more. Join us for Leawood’s free, family-centered America 250 Independence Day celebrations! Start your day with our old-fashioned parade at 10 a.m. down Tomahawk Creek Parkway! Then, join us at 6 p.m. at City Park for mechanical bull rides, rock climbing, inflatables, face painting, balloon artists, food trucks, and live music! The Celebration in the Park event ends with a spectacular fireworks display set to music. Free parking and shuttle service along Tomahawk Creek Parkway!
Town Center Tailgate

Arctic Sea Ice Day

Nuniq the polar bear will receive a special polar bear sized delivery of ice to start the day. Then Nuniq will also receive a special toy delivery to help celebrate the occasion. Enjoy hands-on learning activities inside Polar Bear Passage including touch and feel bio-facts. Activities are included in the price of admission.
