You know local professional artist, Dani Papa, was just there when you see paint marks, bold colors, and metal leaf everywhere. Together with his sister, Karina, this brother/sister artist duo have been making waves in the community. Working collaboratively on looks that command attention, both siblings made a splash at the recent Embellished Wearable Art Fashion Show hosted at Modani Furniture. After nearly a decade as an art teacher and mentor, Dani Papa turned his sights to more philanthropic efforts here in Collier County.
Community leader of the Bayshore Arts District (BAD), Amanda Jaron, sought out Dani and Karina’s help with organizing this fantastic event with an amazing team, all of whom had volunteered. Dani painted his signature garments while Karina constructed a look completely from recyclable materials. Newly appointed as the Director of Arts Programming for BAD, Dani Papa is excited to lend his standards, experience, and education to the rest of the Bayshore community for the future, just as he finishes his Masters Degree in fine arts online at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD).
Amanda’s mission for this fundraiser was to provide the community with affordable studios for artists and designers located in The BAD near downtown Naples. After a night of strutting down the runway, The BAD Board is proud to announce that they have raised $50,000; all of which supports the fundraising goal to realize this vision. A special THANK YOU to all involved!*
