Stay-at-home orders in Kansas and Missouri are having a profound impact on how people live, work and socialize. Experienced real estate agents have become more important than ever in helping them navigate this new Realty.
“Our world has changed, and our homes are our sanctuaries,” says Suzy Goldstein of the award-winning Goldstein Team of Better Homes and Gardens Kansas City in Leawood. “Although we are working differently, we continue to keep closely connected while distancing. There is no clear roadmap for the days, weeks and months ahead, but we will move forward as we always do—with a generous spirit and compassion for others.”
The Goldstein Team—which includes Suzy’s son, Erich, as well as Margaret Stewart, Lora Jones, Leslie Courtney and Joe Gill—is a powerhouse in the local market. It was honored as the No. 2-producing team for Better Homes and Gardens Kansas City last year.
Goldstein’s business savvy and people skills have served her well since she entered the real estate profession in the early 1980s. She started at Kroh Brothers Realty (later J.D. Reece) and quickly sold her first home for $105,000 (the contract still hangs on her wall). In 1987, she became a founding member of the Hallbrook Realty Marketing Team. She built on that experience by starting her own team in 2000.
Members of The Goldstein Team understand a foundational principle of the industry: Buyers and sellers prefer to work with someone they like and trust.
“Everyone promises ‘great customer service,’ but what does that mean?” Goldstein asks. “First and foremost, clear and constant communication, coupled with the highest level of attention, culminating in a sale.
“We don’t just meet expectations. We continually exceed them and have fun along the way. Our clients put their faith in us. Our buyers know that we will find the right home, and our sellers trust in our marketing commitment and extensive networking to reach the right audience. We do it all—staging, jaw-dropping professional photography, video, floorplans online—no stone is left unturned to ensure that our client wins the beauty contest.”
No wonder so many clients refer their friends and neighbors.
“Friends recommend us to friends and business associates pass along their experiences with us, but one of our greatest pleasures is when the children of former clients come to us for help and guidance,” she says.
Simply put, The Goldstein Team makes every sale and move as easy and seamless as possible.
“We understand that selling a home can be a stressful and disruptive time, and that is not how we operate,” Goldstein says. “We strive to move through the process together with each client so that the end result is a happy, rewarding, exciting and memorable one.”
That is a winning formula even in the best of times but especially in today’s challenging environment. “Stay well, stay safe, stay home,” she says, “and remember that we are better together.”
