Owner and entrepreneur Stuart Ottinger is a Southern gentleman through and through. Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, he moved to Nashville after attending Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi. At 21, he, his brother, and his college roommate opened their first restaurant together on Demonbreun, Otter’s Chicken. From then on, Stuart was hooked on the hospitality industry. Oxford Provisions Group is Stuart and his wife Colleen’s personal hospitality management company that has a conglomerate of restaurants, bars, and even a pizza shop scattered around South Louisiana and Nashville.

Genuinely caring about the customer’s experience, Stuart wants to create a moment with them to start their day off on a good note. Stuart, leading the team of hostesses, bartenders, servers, and cooks, has a loyal group working alongside him to create something spectacular for their customers.

Whether you are a returning customer or a first-timer, the Broken Egg staff will welcome you in. If it’s your first time, you will be given complimentary beignets covered in powdered sugar and paired with a vibrant and tangy orange marmalade dipping sauce. Just like the famous Café Du Monde in Louisiana, but local. Be sure to pair the beignets with Broken Egg’s very own signature coffee. It’s the perfect combination and has its southern roots in Louisiana cuisine.

Featuring plates inspired by the South, you can find shrimp and grits, Mardi Gras omelets, and chicken and waffles. The most popular choice is shrimp and grits; the indulgent choice is the cinnamon roll French toast; the healthy alternative is the Monterey Power Omelette; the classic selection is the chicken and waffles, and the seasonal try is the pumpkin waffles.

The seasonal menu is available now at Broken Egg until the end of the year. So, if you’re craving something autumnal, you can treat yourself to pumpkin waffles, tiramisu French toast, lobster hash benedict, or other treats that won’t trick your budget.

Starting October 1st, Another Broken Egg is launching a new menu that will feature new lunch offerings, and you won’t want to skip out on this. A sneak peek at the lunch menu they are whipping up will include a new chicken salad sandwich, brunch jambalaya, chicken tortilla soup, a southern fried chicken salad, and blackened shrimp salad.

Other reasons to try this new café? There is plenty of parking, a vibrant and inviting patio, a dog-friendly patio, free WIFI, merchandise including hand-crafted clay coffee mugs, original house-made bottled hot sauce, in-house bloody Mary mix, and additionally vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Another Broken Egg is active within the community. They have supported several local high schools’ pancake breakfasts to raise money for their football teams, PTC breakfast gatherings, and numerous local charities. Another Broken Egg Café caters to schools, corporate meetings, churches, medical offices, and whoever else loves their menu. They offer delivery and setup for events of any size.

“When someone thinks breakfast, we want them to think of Another Broken Egg,” said the smiling staff.

Ottinger wants to extend lagniappe, the old southern word for “giving something extra” to his customers. The southern-style warmth shown by Ottinger and his team will keep you coming back again and again.

Stuart’s Oxford Provisions Group boasts multiple awards within the brand, such as the 2021 Operator of the Year award, the Ron Green Award in 2022, and Café of the Year 2022. With great reviews online and word of mouth, this hidden treasure will surely delight your tastebuds and leave you ready to start your day any day of the week. They are open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving up their inspired dishes. See you there!
