Banish Those Extra Holiday Pounds with F45 Training

November initiates the worry of the holidays, including the worry of gaining weight due to the grand feasts and parties. Going to the gym gets lower on your priority list with everything else on the agenda. But what if we told you there’s a gym with a method to keep you motivated and workouts less than an hour of your busy day? The new F45 studio in Cool Springs is a great solution.

F45 stands for functional fitness with 45 minute classes. F45 mastered the science of training routines so you don’t have to. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday offer cardio-based classes while Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday offer resistance-based classes. The full body exercises include a rotation of lifting, biking, rowing, jumping and more. Robert Burnett, Mica Graves, and Steve Scheu own the Cool Springs F45 and witness the way it is changing lives. Robert says, “We have a suite of 36 workouts with over 2,700 exercises, so you will never do the same workout twice.” They recommend taking advantage of their LionHeart wireless heart rate monitor during
the class to visualize your progress, based on your specific age, height, weight, and gender, and have a friendly competition with your peers.

People ages 20 to 60 and up work side by side. Everyone is welcome and the skilled trainers want to see you succeed no matter what limitations or injuries you may have. Every workout is designed for longevity and can be modified. A coach is assigned to every member to keep them on track with their goals. Robert adds, “We have a full 5:15am class and it’s almost the same people every time. They show up early to chat and notice when someone is absent. We’ve built a real community here.” F45 is resourceful and finds ways to keep you on your toes. To take it to the next level, F45 hosts 6 week challenges, free for members. Robert says, “During the
challenges, we partner with Nutrishop across the street that calculates macros for a meal plan and evaluates body scans.” This is the perfect challenge to hold you accountable for working out during the holidays.

Another thing to celebrate is their location is rolling out their Prodigy program for ages 11 to 17. It is one of the first in the U.S. to offer this opportunity. The sessions will be similar 45 minute workouts, but with more focus on form. The mission of the program is to instil a positive attitude towards fitness and make it an important part of their lives especially if they are not already involved in sports and need to get out of the house more. It will encourage social interactions and team building in a fun and inviting environment. Classes are midday, making it easy for kids who are being homeschooled, in virtual school, or just getting out of school for
the day.

F45 will give new meaning to “winter weight” and give everyone that extra boost of confidence. The short, yet rewarding classes allow for more time to focus on the people and events you love this holiday season.
