As the weather warms and summer arrives, we love to break out the grill. Something about the taste of grilled recipes and barbecue just scream, "It's finally summer!" This recipe from Tonyo's BBQ Experience is perfect for cookouts with family and friends, and can easily be adjusted to feed a crowd.
Grilled BBQ Chicken
Ingredients:
5 lbs bone-in chicken drumsticks or leg quarters
1/4 cup yellow mustard
1/2 cup Italian dressing
BBQ Seasoning:
2 T brown sugar
2 T paprika
2 t garlic powder
2 t chili powder
1 t onion powder
¼ t cayenne pepper
salt & pepper to taste
Basting Sauce:
1 Stick of butter, melted
1 T BBQ Seasoning
2 T Honey
Instructions:
Wash and trim any excess fat from chicken. We like to use leg quarters for this recipe! Coat chicken in mustard & Italian dressing. Lightly coat with BBQ seasoning. Grill or smoke until internal temperature reaches 165F; time will depend on size and cut of chicken. If you do not have a grill, you can also bake the chicken. Remove from heat and baste with sauce while warm, if desired! Enjoy!
