In most cases if your car is surrounded by wolves or bears, you might be worried. In this instance, our photographer, Kaeden Peterson and his family called it a day out in Bearizona. Located in Williams, Arizona, Bearizona is a unique wildlife park in which you follow the winding trails from the comfort of your car.
As the tires slowly crunch along the path, you will go past bighorn sheep, bison, and deer. For the portions of the drive where you enter the territories of the Black Bear and the Alaskan Tundra Wolf, you are kindly asked to keep your windows and doors shut. Some of the animals are just as curious as the visitors, but especially for children, the experience has their faces pressed up against the glass.
The drive thru section is then followed by a walk thru of more exhibits. The walkable area includes otters, javelinas, elk, fox, and more. There are even grizzly bears and jaguars as well. There is plenty to see without being overwhelmed. You can walk at your own pace and enjoy dining options and a large gift shop with soft toy versions of all the animals. Bearizona is a fun day out while learning all about the wildlife of Arizona.
