Bozeman City Lifestyle recently chatted with Elizabeth and Jeremy to learn more about their design process and why they love what they do.
How did you get involved in designing doorscapes, and what led you to starting your own company?
We were once restaurant owners and later worked in the corporate world, and doorscaping became a creative outlet—first for Jeremy, and eventually for both of us together. We started by decorating our own front door, and as friends and neighbors began noticing and loving what we created, we realized there was an opportunity to turn that creativity into something more. Bozeman Doorscapes grew out of our shared love for beautiful, unique, and thoughtful entryways and the way they can make a home or business feel special before you ever step inside.
What is the Bozeman Doorscape approach to creating a beautiful threshold to your clients' homes?
We love sourcing individual pieces from curators we’ve discovered across the
country, along with beautiful items found locally here in Montana. Rather than
recreating the same arrangement from home to home, we design each
doorscape specifically for the space, taking into account the architecture, the
client’s aesthetic, and how they want their home or business to welcome guests
and customers.
What sets us apart is the individuality of our designs. We want each entryway to
feel collected and thoughtfully styled rather than pulled straight from a catalog.
We also own and store our inventory, which allows clients to enjoy a completely
new look from season to season without having to purchase, organize, or find
storage for all of the décor themselves. We handle the design, installation,
removal, and storage so the experience can simply be enjoyable.
Tell us about your design packages!
We currently offer three seasonal design tiers, along with hourly styling for clients who already own décor they would like us to use.
- Tier 1 — Accent: Our introductory offering, featuring a strong focal element complemented by intentional grounding pieces to create a polished seasonal moment.
- Tier 2 — Layered: A fuller design featuring statement elements around the door, base styling, and additional layers that give the entryway depth and dimension.
- Tier 3 — Signature: This is our full “wow from the street” experience. The Signature package is immersive, abundant, and designed to fully celebrate the season while making the entryway a true focal point of the property.
For clients who already own décor they love, we are also happy to provide styling and placement services on an hourly basis. Sometimes simply having a fresh set of eyes can completely transform pieces you already own.
Do you have any specials going on for the holidays?
Yes! New clients who book both an autumn and winter doorscape will receive 10% off their seasonal bookings. It’s a great way to enjoy two completely different looks as the season transitions from the warmth of autumn into the holidays.
What is unique about the autumn and holiday seasons when it comes to curating an entryway?
These are the cozy seasons, and there is something especially meaningful about creating a welcoming entrance during this part of the year. Your entryway is the first glimpse guests have of your home, and it can immediately set the tone for what’s waiting inside. Imagine your front door with rich and inviting seasonal
details outside, with warm light glowing inside - you can feel it. Our goal is to make the outside of your home as warm as the inside.
Autumn gives us an opportunity to work with rich textures, natural elements, and warmth, while the holiday season allows us to create something a little more magical and celebratory. We love designing an entryway that makes you happy when you pull into the driveway and makes the people arriving at your home feel welcomed before the door even opens.
What does the process look like from consultation to installation?
When you contact us, we’ll start with a conversation about your goals and ask for a photo of your entryway. You’re also welcome to share inspiration photos so we can get a clear sense of your aesthetic. From there, we’ll schedule an installation date. On install day, we simply ask that the entryway be cleared of any items you don’t want incorporated into the design. Depending on the scope of the project, installation typically takes between one and four hours. Afterward, we’re always available for questions, touch-ups, or anything
else you may need throughout the season.
Do clients need to know exactly what they want before contacting you?
Absolutely not. We’re happy to look at inspiration photos, see your entryway, and talk about what you love and what feels joyful to you—or you can simply let us take the creative lead.
Can Bozeman Doorscapes work with both homes and businesses?
Absolutely. We create custom seasonal installations for both homes and businesses, tailoring each design to the space, brand, and overall feeling our client wants to create.
What do you love most about designing an entryway?
We love that first inspirational visual, because it often becomes the anchor for the entire doorscape. Then there’s the moment when the full vision comes together. Typically, hanging the wreath is one of the last steps, and there’s something so satisfying about seeing that final piece pull the entire look together.
How far in advance should someone book for autumn or the holidays?
Clients can choose how long they’d like to enjoy their installation. To get the most out of the season, we recommend reaching out in August or September for an earlier autumn installation, and in October or November for a winter or holiday installation. Booking early also gives us the best opportunity to accommodate your preferred timing.
Why do you think the front entrance of a home is so often overlooked?
So much of our day-to-day attention naturally goes toward the inside of our homes. We clean, organize, keep up with family life, and then add seasonal touches to our tables, windows, countertops, and gathering spaces. Maintaining that same seasonal feeling outside can become one more task in an already full schedule. We want to take that work off your plate and give you the joy instead.
