Each month we feature three of our dynamic partners giving you a unique glimpse into their personal passions and perspectives. In honor of Veteran's Day, we're spotlighting businesses with a military connection. Each gets 100 words to reflect on their background, giving you a deeper connection to the people having served and now serving our sacred community.
Victoria Grimm, Align Counseling
Former Staff Sergeant, United States Air Force
During my time in the United States Air Force, my role focused on creating meaningful communication within the community and sharing the Air Force’s story and mission. This sparked my curiosity about how people connect—or sometimes, struggle to. Traveling the world gave me a new perspective on human nature and deepened my passion for understanding how we can create more connection rather than disconnection. Today, this passion drives my therapy practice, where I help couples and their families overcome fear and build more connected, fulfilling lives.

Stationed in Washington DC, Dolly was part of a change to have women serve in the Navy. Dolly resides locally at 101 years young.
Jacob Gibbs, Triton Garage and Closet Systems
United States Marine Corps
As a Marine Corps veteran, my experience has instilled in me the discipline, leadership, and adaptability essential for entrepreneurship. Leading teams, making quick decisions under pressure, and staying mission-focused were key aspects of my service, and now they help me navigate running a business. The problem-solving, risk assessment, and resourcefulness I developed as a Marine drive my success today, and my resilience helps me recover from setbacks.
