The network also provides breast care, home/occupational care and outpatient rehabilitation services. The hospital team expanded to include the Greenwood Primary Care Center, Whiteland Primary Care Center, Franklin Primary Care Center and Stones Crossing Health Pavilion in the Center Grove area.
Greenwood City Lifestyle asked David Dunkle, M.D., Johnson Memorial Health president and CEO, about the hospital's notable achievements in patient services.
HOW IS JMH'S OVERALL APPROACH PATIENT-CENTERED?
"We believe in putting the 'Patient First' in everything we do at Johnson Memorial Health. We begin by prioritizing the well-being, safety and satisfaction of patients in all the decisions we make. This approach means medical, ethical and compassionate considerations come first, rather than financial considerations."
WHY DO SO MANY CHOOSE JMH'S DOCTORS AND PROGRAMS?
"Our patients choose us because our providers are highly-qualified. Many of them have trained at leading medical institutions and could practice at prestigious hospitals anywhere in the world. Their choice to serve at Johnson Memorial Health speaks to their commitment to the community and to delivering high-quality care in a more intimate, patient-centered environment, and I believe our patients appreciate that."
WHAT ASPECTS DO JMH'S PATIENTS VALUE MOST?
"Our patients value the convenience of receiving top-tier health care close to home. They appreciate that they don’t have to travel long distances to receive quality care—they can trust Johnson Memorial Health for their medical needs without leaving their community. That’s why we say 'great care starts here.' We have relationships with all the major Indianapolis hospitals, so if a patient needs a higher level of care, we can help navigate them to one of our trusted partners. And, of course, we're members of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, which allows us access to the finest medical knowledge in the world. For complicated cases, we're able to easily consult with a Mayo Clinic provider and together determine the best approach for care. Again, this can be done without the patient traveling long distances and without any additional cost."
