CoolSculpting® is a form of cryolipolysis that causes a frostbite-like injury to fat cells while protecting the skin. The fat cells then die slowly over a couple of months. This gives the skin time to contract while the fat is eliminated from the body. Dr. Bengelsdorf says, “We are also
one of a few practices that can offer DualSculpting, that is, we can use two machines at the same time to decrease total procedure time by 50%. This allows patients to get more areas done in a shorter period of time.”

CoolTone™ is a Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) device that tones and conditions muscle in a way you can’t do yourself. As opposed to Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS), which can cause burns and skin irritation, after a CoolTone™ treatment, patients may notice some
normal muscle soreness as if they just worked out. It works best in a series of 4 treatments and results can be seen in as little as 2 weeks.
“Removing fat isn’t enough, bodies need muscle, too,” says Dr. Bengelsdorf. “The combination of CoolSculpting® and CoolTone™ is synergistic. The more body muscle you have, the quicker you burn fat.”
Occasionally, these technologies work so well that the need can arise for skin tightening, and that’s where the final technology excels. Exilis Ultra 360® is a monopolar radiofrequency device that non-invasively tightens loose skin. Whether due to weight loss, pregnancy, or aging, loose skin can be unflattering. Exillis® in effect “shrink wraps” your skin. Skin tightening can often be achieved in approximately 4 to 6 treatments.
