- Southeast Boise saw its primary growth in the 1990’s following the success of local tech company Micron. Today this area’s thriving hub is Bown Crossing located along the south side of the Boise River. Cycling on the Greenbelt with excellent fishing and boating at nearby Lucky Peak Reservoir make SE Boise an area worth exploring.
- The Boise Bench area is named for the geographic feature that literally steps up from the Boise River floodplain about 60 feet in elevation. Originally booming in the early half of the 20th century, its most distinctive landmark is the historic Train Depot. This area has experienced a strong revitalization with beautiful remodeled homes and a major hospital nearby.
- West Boise was once the edge of town and is now fully connected to its cozy neighbor of Meridian. An industrial corridor spans along the railroad, with a major retail and dining hub found at Towne Square. This is the right side of town if you are shopping for an automobile. Mature neighborhoods with beautiful parks throughout make West Boise a place to call home.
- Northwest Boise serves as a shining example of growth and development. More mature areas such as Collister and Quail Ridge line the edge of the foothills along Hill Road with a short commute to downtown. Pockets of newer developments, including the master-planned community of Hidden Springs with neighboring Dry Creek Ranch, are well worth the drive.
- Garden City epitomizes a modern day renaissance with the development of creative commercial and residential riverfront properties. Hefty investments from the city and county have made this a new hot spot for outdoor activity. The newly completed Esther Simplot Park and adjoining Whitewater Park on the river make this a destination for surfing and kayaking enthusiasts.
- Eagle, once a quiet bedroom community suburb, the city of Eagle stands out as a strong, self-sustaining nest of economic prosperity. Stretching northwest along the Boise River and reaching high into the foothills, Eagle has established itself as a premier location for new businesses and residents looking for quiet living, distinctive dining, fantastic golf and a shorter commute.
