Two-and-a-half years after Electric Cowboy in St. Peters closed, a new place has opened in that location that’s given us a reason to kick up our heels and celebrate. Diamond Billiards & Music Club, at 4109 Cloverleaf Drive, is the new hot spot in town.
As the DJ spins a wide variety of music for those on the large dance floor, others are enjoying the 20 Diamond-brand pool tables, throwing darts, eating pizza or just laughing with friends. And it’s all smoke-free.
This is nothing new to Buddy Evans, who has owned two other smaller bar/pool halls: Gateway Billiards & Deli on Main Street in St. Charles and ABC Billiards in O’Fallon. He has also constructed pool tables.
Pool definitely runs in the family, as Buddy’s two sons, Ricky, 17, and Nick, 21, have impressive resumes in the world of billiards competition, including winning gold in the World Junior Championships.
At Diamond Billiards & Music Club, country line dancing can be enjoyed on Wednesday nights, West Coast Swing on Tuesdays, and starting in early March, live concerts on the 50-foot stage, one of the first being Platinum Rock Legends, the biggest rock show in the Midwest!
According to Buddy’s son, Rob, who worked hard to help his dad get this new entertainment venue open, after a year of construction and remodeling, they really want the club to be known for its great service, good food and friendly staff. They want it to be a good time for everyone.
