How do you envision your picture perfect wedding day?
Is it a wedding on a pristine beach, toes dug into the warm silky sand as the waves crescendo behind you?
Or how about a wedding ceremony tucked away in a mountaintop forest, nestled under the shade of towering pines?
Whatever your vision is, Debra Bradford, CEO of Bradford Weddings & Events in Johnstown, aims to materialize clients’ desired imaginations into reality.
“I love bringing people together; I love to have them create an event they’ve always dreamed of,” Debra shares. “They have visions of what they want, and I like to bring them to life.”
Debra officially opened Bradford Weddings & Events on Sept. 1, 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic significantly slowed down the weddings and events industry. While her business is only about five years old, Debra is by no means a newcomer to event planning, having coordinated weddings and events for friends and family for over 30 years.
In addition to weddings, Bradford Weddings & Events plans and organizes several other types of events for its clients, including birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, anniversaries, luxury picnics, company parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and quinceañeras.
Focused on pairing a full slate of services with hospitality, Debra strives to create intentional luxury experiences for her clients, who are based in Colorado and California.
By offering meticulous event planning services and tasteful stylings for weddings, events, and home holiday decor, Debra strives to help forge deep, meaningful connections between others.
“The holidays are all about bringing families and neighbors together, and we come into people’s homes and create a space that makes the homeowner feel great about their home, and it’s a place to welcome their friends and family.”
More often than not, careful consideration of floral arrangements and other decorations is a requirement for weddings and other events. Debra’s business also happens to supply artful floral designs and various rentals, such as decor, balloon arches, tents and canopies, linens, drapes, lighting, props, and more.
Looking ahead, Debra aspires to expand further into luxury events locally, but she also dreams of constructing a boutique venue somewhere in northern Colorado that serves as a weekend getaway for folks.
Meanwhile, Debra hopes to continually build a positive legacy within the communities she serves.
“When people think of Bradford Weddings, I want them to think about community, family, memories of those events that they did with the most special people in their lives,” Debra says. “So, that’s what I want to leave behind and that feeling of how they felt when they had that event.”
And what exactly fuels Debra’s motivation to leave behind this type of footprint?
Why, passion, of course.
In Debra’s opinion, passion is a must-have ingredient in everyone’s pursuit of purpose, including for herself and her company’s staff.
“Do what you love,” Debra says, “and do it with all of your heart.”
The reason Debra loves what she does is because she gets to be a part of people’s joy.
“Whether it’s weddings, holiday parties, or special milestones, I love making others feel seen, celebrated, and cared for through beautiful details and meaningful service.”
