Brioche Bliss

As you open the grand doors of Isabelle et Vincent, you know you are about to be transported to another place. Lucky are we to have this special place in town where, for a moment, you can be transported to a cafe in Paris. Known for their variety of macarons, tarts, quiches, breads and delicious desserts, this small family-owned French bakery is big on taste. 

Brioche

Ingredients:

Flour 1.000 grams

Sugar 180 grams

Salt 22 grams

Butter 125 grams

Eggs 250 grams

Milk 450 grams

Directions:

Combine milk and eggs and mix together

Add to flour, then add salt and sugar

Start mixing

Cut butter into small chunks, adding slowly to the dough

Mix until soft and smooth

Proof in a warm and humid place until it rises and bounces back when pushed in

Brush egg wash on top

Bake at 160C until golden brown.
