Canonbury Homes

We met Neil Johnson through our friends at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. The company he founded in 2005 has been a long-time sponsor of the Historic Brookhaven Candlelight Tour of Homes, one of ARMHC’s most popular fundraisers, opening beautiful homes in the community during its biannual event.

“This generous support ensures children and families can stay close to each other and the life-saving medical care they need,” says Caroline Tate of ARMHC. Canonbury Homes also graciously sponsors Brookhaven Dines In, events that take place in the Historic Brookhaven neighborhood in the fall.

Canonbury Homes, Inc. is a premier custom homebuilder catering to clientele in some of the most desirable areas in Atlanta including Buckhead, Brookhaven and Sandy Springs. Since 2005, founder and owner, Neil Johnson has been delivering dream homes to the most discriminating clients.

Tracy and Terri Eden asked Neil to build them a cottage style home on the footprint of the original home on East Brookhaven Drive. They wanted a design for casual and easy living, complete with all the high quality finishes that make a home special. The 6,324-square-foot brick construction home has four bedrooms, five full baths and two half baths.  Canonbury Homes’ design takes advantage of the surrounding views of the Capital City Golf Course and the skyline. The Edens have two girls attending college and one high schooler, with two English Labs and four cats rounding out the homestead, designed by Peter Block of Peter Block Architects.

Johnson has been building premier custom homes in the Buckhead, Brookhaven and Sandy Springs areas in Atlanta since 2005. Bringing many years of experience in woodworking, cabinetry and furniture restoration, Neil is a most exacting craftsman. His attention and intense workmanship combined with time/cost coordination learned as a logistics manager early in his career ensures the homeowner will have a well-run, high quality experience.

One of his partners on the Eden’s home was Windsor Pine who crafted the gorgeous kitchen island and hutch, the beams and a unique built-in bed in the teenager’s bedroom.  Windsor Pine is located in Canton, is a family run business, and specializes in custom woodworking including kitchens, flooring, furniture, doors and beams.

“We promise to make every effort to assist you in achieving your dream home. From searching for the perfect lot, working with the architect of your choosing throughout the entire build process, every exacting detail will be met as you work closely with our team,” says Johnson.  “When you choose Canonbury Homes, you can count on meticulous attention to high quality, durability and extensive detail.  As a member of the National Homeowners Association, it is our pledge.”
