Brunch Cafe Offers Unique Comfort Foods for Fall

Brunch Cafe was founded in 2008 in the suburbs of Chicago by two brothers and their two brothers-in-law. With a restaurant industry background and strong entrepreneurial spirit between them, the four brothers noticed that there was a “breakfast boom” going on in town, and they wanted to be a part of it.

"We loved the idea of having restaurants that opened up early in the morning and helped people start their day off happy and healthy,” brothers Andy, Ted, George and Pete concur.

Now, with seven successful locations in Illinois, a new location open in Scottsdale and more Brunch Cafe locations planned, the four brothers are quickly becoming known as “The Beatles of the brunch world.”

The bustling shopping district between Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland Commons was the ideal spot for a new Brunch Cafe location to open because so many residents, employees and out-of-town visitors love to eat and shop in this expansive area.

"A large number of our Chicago customers gradually made the move to Scottsdale and begged us to open up a new location near them,” says Kevin Rasmus, the general manager of Brunch Cafe. “We heard from many people that they were missing and craving our menu items so much.”

Amongst those mouthwatering selections is the Apple Bread French Toast. Brunch Cafe uses special apple pie bread that comes directly from the Breadsmith bakery in Oro Valley, Arizona. Several loaves of this amazing apple pie bread are shipped to the restaurant each week. The bread is mixed with local, free-range eggs and milk to create the delicious-tasting French toast, and then yummy pecans and a vanilla bean glaze are drizzled on top. Pure maple syrup accompanies the dish.

The Avocado Toast is constructed from hand-carved, multi-grain bread, fresh avocado, heirloom cherry tomatoes, arugula and a balsamic glaze.

The Carrot Cake Pancakes are incredible with a flavor identical to authentic carrot cake. Luckily, this sweet stack is much healthier. They’re made of multi-grain pancakes, whipped sweet cream, shredded carrots and a vanilla bean glaze.

Pork Carnitas and Tamale Benedict is not only beautiful-looking, but this decadent dish also offers a Mexican twist to eggs benedict. The Pork Carnitas and Tamale Benedict features slow-roasted, seasoned, pulled, all-natural and antibiotic-free pork with homemade polenta tamales with cilantro, Cotija cheese, and jalapeno poached eggs dressed with enchilada sauce and pico de gallo—a true feast for the eyes and stomach.

Brunch Cafe is also a perfect spot to host private, indoor or outdoor baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, corporate meetings and other special events. Corporate lunch catering and special event catering is available. Their large patio area is also dog-friendly.
