For Noah Harris Adler, architecture is more than a career—it’s a lifelong passion that began in childhood. Inspired by the creativity and complexity of the buildings around him, Adler was fascinated by the idea that these larger-than-life structures were designed by people to serve as places where others could live, work, eat, play, and enjoy over time to enhance their lives.

“Architecture is the ultimate manifestation of the creative process,” Adler says.

Designing from his home office in Haworth, Adler brings that same passion to his clients, helping to shape Bergen County and surrounding counties one home at a time. Starting with smaller interior renovations like bathrooms, his portfolio has since grown to include expansive custom homes and major residential additions.

Much of Adler’s success can be attributed to the loyalty and satisfaction of his clients, many of whom continue to refer him through word-of-mouth recommendations. Those referrals have fueled the expansion of his business and allowed him to take on increasingly complex projects.

One recent project—a home addition and renovation in Summit—illustrates his thoughtful approach to both form and function. The historic property featured a detached garage, and Adler’s design of an internal connection between the main house and the garage, as well as a 2nd floor addition above the garage, seamlessly connected the two buildings with an expanded kitchen, a new mudroom, new bedroom, and home office.

In Paramus, a full gut renovation allows Adler to flex his creativity even further. After the homeowners attempted their own renovation and were left unsatisfied, they invited Adler to reimagine the space from scratch. The project gives him the opportunity to address the home’s structural concerns and elevate its design to better reflect the family’s lifestyle.

Closer to home, a new construction project in Haworth speaks to current design trends and future-forward thinking. Adler and a local builder are collaborating on a spacious six-bedroom home featuring five and a half bathrooms, a two-story foyer, a covered patio, and a finished attic—an increasingly popular addition in modern home design.

Across all of his work, Adler remains focused on one guiding principle: helping clients create spaces that adapt to their lives.

“I do a lot of renovations and additions because families often outgrow their homes or their needs change,” he explains. “They love their property, but it’s no longer functional for them. My goal is to reconfigure and/or expand it into something they can fall in love with again—and live happily in for years to come.”

For Adler, the most fulfilling part of the job is giving life to his clients’ dreams.

“My motto is ‘Giving Your Dreams Vision,’” he says. “I’ll have clients—especially families—come to me and say, ‘We need more space, our family is growing, we can’t keep living this way.’ Being able to imagine it, design it, see that vision become a reality, and witness my clients’ excitement as it that dream becomes tangible, is incredibly rewarding.”

Through every project, Adler not only helps families create beautiful homes that they will cherish forever, but also contributes to the beauty and vibrancy of the greater Pascack Valley community.
