Hannah Custom Homes helps homeowners craft their dream. The company was founded by Dusty Hannah, Misty (Hannah) Pyle and Jeff Pyle in 2005. With over two decades of experience in craftsmanship, Hannah Custom Homes offers tried-and-true expertise on custom builds that outlast trends.

A Strong Foundation

Start with the right team. Misty, co-owner and CFO of Hannah Custom Homes, says, “We firmly believe having the contractor on board first is the most time-efficient and cost-efficient approach to custom home design. There is no benefit to bringing on any parties late in the process; it will always result in delays, rework and a misalignment of budget versus design.”

By bringing together a powerhouse team of architects and designers, thorough processes and building science, Hannah Custom Homes creates a strong foundation for every build.

Style That Lasts

In an age of Pinterest boards and trending designs, it can be difficult to distinguish between a passing fad and a lasting style choice. Hannah Custom Homes has a two-step selection process that can help.

Kacie Carrico, COO, says, “We make most major selections during the pre-construction phase, but when the time comes to actually place an order, we circle back to confirm those same selections. These 2 approvals are often many months apart and can easily expose if a client got caught up in a trend.”

Beyond the two-step approval process, the team engages in thoughtful conversations with clients about what they want in a home. These conversations lead to timeless choices that reflect the life and style of each individual homeowner.

Built Around You

Part of designing a forever home is the intentionality in building around practical needs and planning for long-term functionality.

Carrico says, “For daily routines and hobbies, it's really about ensuring everything has a place, and a place to charge! Although we want the home to be beautiful, form follows function is a tried-and-true design adage for a reason.”

Square footage is often dedicated to mud rooms with open and closed storage, laundry/utility rooms, drop zones and more. For Hannah Custom Homes, it all starts with knowing how a family will live in and use their home so the custom build can serve them wherever they are and grow with them over time.

“We are blessed that most of our clients trust us with their ‘forever home’ so we can sink into the long-term functions and changing needs,” says Carrico.

In The Details

Details, whether simple or elaborate, can elevate practical needs into what feels like a luxury. From toe-kick bathroom vanity lights to Christmas closets that store fully-decorated trees, Carrico says, “With practicality and design, it's often the small touches that make the difference.”

A detail-oriented build goes beyond what you can see. “Our dedication to building science, air and water management and optimal air quality are things the homeowner will never consider once they move in, but that's the point. When done correctly, it goes unnoticed because there are no issues to notice,” says Carrico.

The hands-on process with Hannah Custom Homes is a partnership on more than a house—it is an effort to create a space where families can be rooted and create memories for a lifetime.

Carrico says, “We want our clients to feel the peace that comes from knowing they accomplished something truly extraordinary and now they get to live their life in it.”
