Local Car Club Looking to Share Love of Cars with Community

As the weather turns and we enjoy our beautiful Spring temperatures, people start seeking ways to spend time outdoors more often. One great way is to attend a family-friendly and fun monthly car show in Northwest Peoria. The Vistancia Car Club (VistanciaCarClub.com) holds free events for anyone interested in checking out some cool cars.

These events are informal and casual. According to club co-founder Kyle Lambie, it is a great way to gather with like-minded folks in the area. “The response from the community has been amazing. Our first gathering was in October 2020, and there were about 25 cars in attendance, and it has continued to grow to almost 100 cars.”

The show is just that – a show. There are no awards or judges. It is simply an opportunity for people to check out and chat about cars and automobile-related topics. There is generally a coffee truck onsite and a local volunteer DJ is typically on hand at each event.

Lambie says it is pretty easy to become a member of VCC. “Anyone can join our group and be a part of the Vistancia Car Club. Owning a specific type of automobile is not a prerequisite. We have a website, Instagram, and Facebook group where the monthly events are updated. The easiest way to join is the Facebook group where our members can share photos and stories, ask questions, and make recommendations about anything automotive related.”

The group is also heavily focused on supporting the local community they serve. They have partnered with Trilogy Veteran’s Club, Toys for Tots, and scout groups. They have also taken their monthly events to area retirement facilities to share their love of cars with seniors who may not otherwise be able to attend in person.

The group meets on the second Sunday of each month in Vistancia at 29701 N. Sunrise Point, Peoria, AZ 85383. Hours of the events will depend on the season, but Lambie says they generally meet in the mornings between 8 and 11 a.m.
