Since 2013, Steffany Fleming has been bringing a unique touch to events across Eagan and beyond through her Mobile Memories Traveling Photo Booth. Combining her love of photography and event planning, Steffany has turned a creative vision into a successful business that not only delivers fun and memorable experiences but also fuels her passion for animal rescue through her non-profit organization, Inspire & Flourish.
A Vision Born from Passion
Steffany describes herself as “just a big kid” at heart, and her journey into the photo booth business reflects just that. A longtime party planner, scrapbooker, and photography enthusiast, she was inspired after seeing a photo booth in action. Wanting to add her own twist, she flew to Tennessee to learn more from a photo booth expert and returned home determined to create something different.
Rather than opting for the large, cumbersome photo booths that were popular then, Steffany invested in an open-air concept—an elegant standalone box paired with customizable backdrops. Over the years, her collection of backdrops has grown to over 20, many handcrafted to fit the creative themes of her clients’ events.
From weddings to birthdays, Mobile Memories offers props and personalized photo strips that guests can take home as keepsakes. “People love those photo strips,” says Steffany, who’s also known as the “prop queen.” “They’re fun, and they end up on refrigerators or in home offices as reminders of a great time.”
From Fun to Fulfillment
Mobile Memories isn’t just about capturing moments—it’s also about creating opportunities to give back. Steffany uses the proceeds from her photo booth business to support Inspire & Flourish, a volunteer-based organization she founded to aid animal rescues locally and globally.
“I’ve been involved in animal rescue for as long as I’ve been in the photo business,” Steffany shares. Through Inspire & Flourish, she coordinates spay and neuter clinics, organizes food and supply donations, and arranges animal transports to foster homes. “Most rescues are foster-based, and the cost of care can really add up. I’m here to support their mission and help these animals find good homes.”
Last October, Inspire & Flourish sponsored clinics that provided spay and neuter services for 137 cats and dogs. “Not everyone can afford these procedures,” she explains, “so we step in to make them accessible.” The organization also partners with animal lovers to assist with veterinary care for special needs cases and delivers supplies to foster families caring for rescues.
The Heart Behind the Business
For Steffany, Mobile Memories is more than a job—it’s a means to sustain the causes closest to her heart. “When I book a gig, I know I’m going to be able to help more animals,” she says. “It’s the perfect combination of what I love to do: provide fun experiences for my clients and support rescue work.”
