How did such a serene setting come to be?
“What began as a longtime dream for brothers-in-law Mark Manfield and the late Lawrie Lipton, came to fruition with the opening of Lorimar Vineyards and Winery. In fact, the name Lorimar itself was formed by combining Lawrie and Mark’s first names.”
The journey began in 2009 with the opening of Lorimar’s Old Town location. During this time, the Wine Country location was under construction. In May 2012, Lorimar celebrated the grand opening of its Winery located in the heart of the Temecula Valley.
“Our Old Town Wine Bar & Tasting room is still a favorite spot to visit on weekends. The Winery now hosts live music 7 days a week (twice on Fridays & Saturdays) and many special events monthly! Although years have passed, we still strive daily to continue their vision and grow beyond their expectations.”
Foodie fanatics will delight in a visit to Pairings, Lorimar’s onsite gourmet mobile kitchen in Wine Country. Presented by Chef Jorge Alvarado and Chef Raul Torres, the Pairings menu was created with Lorimar’s wines in mind and can often change to compliment the season or pair with newly released wines.
“Enjoy our current menu ‘restaurant-style’ on our large outdoor patio! We have misters in the summer and heaters in the winter, so please dress accordingly for the season.”
The current menu features fantastic fare such as flatbreads, salads, and ciabatta sandwiches for lunch.
Dinner options include savory starters like calamari or bruschetta, salads, flatbreads, and entrees including seafood, pasta, and ribs.
Decadent desserts like flourless chocolate cake, tiramisu, and raspberry white chocolate cheesecake add a mouthwatering finishing flourish.
