For the last two years, I’ve had the pleasure and honor of serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Gulf Coast City Lifestyle Magazine, and what an incredible journey it has been! As we look forward to the new year, welcoming both old and new clients, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation, first and foremost, to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Years ago, during one of the most challenging seasons of my life, my mother gifted me a Christmas ornament that read, “Where God guides, He provides.” Indeed, God has guided me every step of the way, providing the strength and inspiration I needed to pursue my dreams.
Stepping into this role has been a dream come true, and it has been my constant prayer to serve my community well. I must express my sincere gratitude to our fearless leader, the wonderful Ashley Roberts. Ashley believed in me even when I didn’t see my own potential. Through countless laughs, brainstorming sessions, and even a few tears, we've grown our publication to reach thousands of readers each month. Together, we’ve created a platform that not only informs but also uplifts and connects our community.
As we embark in 2025 I wish to share this; this journey has truly been a dream come true. And it's all because of you! This community is the best little big town, and my family—Ben, Liam, Garrett, and our beloved service dog, Maggie—extends our deepest gratitude to each of you. I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge my incredible children. Without the love and unwavering support of my three wonderful boys and our loyal Maggie, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today. They are my driving force, inspiring me to pursue my passions while balancing family life.
Liam, at just 12 years old, has joined me on countless nights to help write and share your stories, showing a remarkable talent for storytelling himself. His aspiration to become a writer in our community one day fills me with pride. Ben, (15) affectionately known as Budget Coffee, has been my rock during those busy mornings, ensuring that we’re all organized and ready to tackle the day ahead, all while navigating the complexities of young adulthood and managing his own health challenges.
And last, but certainly not least, is my Garrett—the glue of our family. This rambunctious five-year-old is always ready to lend a hand, helping me keep our Hope Home and Gardens thriving. He reminds me to stay grounded and appreciate the simple joys of life, keeping my spirit youthful and full of wonder.
