Hendersonville Chamber Toasts Magazine's Eighth Anniversary In Royal Splendor

In July, Hendersonville Lifestyle magazine reached a significant milestone – eight years of covering the people, places and things that shape everyday life in the City by the Lake. In recognition of this accomplishment, publisher Lynn Bowles held a special celebration on Aug. 22.

Along with the Lifestyle team, a large contingent of supporters from the Hendersonville Chamber also attended the event, which was held at Safari’s Brick Oven & Grille. Guests were treated to a feast of heavy hors d’oeuvres along with Safari’s famous cocktail, Jungle Tea.

During the celebration, Lynn thanked editor Rick Murray for his contributions to the success of the magazine. He also expressed his gratitude to his wife Towana and Rick’s wife Debbie for their unwavering support and encouragement. He also acknowledged many others who have helped the magazine grow.

"Thanks to all our readers, story subjects and advertisers for all of your support over the past eight years,” said Lynn. “I also want to thank our corporate team – we couldn’t do what we do without them.”

As the celebration was in full swing, a surprise guest suddenly appeared to the delight of crowd. Dressed in a white jumpsuit trimmed in gold and black, local Elvis tribute artist Brook Wright performed several songs which had been made famous by the original King himself.

At the end, several of the guests took advantage of the regal appearance to grab photos before the celebration was over.

From our first issue in Aug. 2016, Hendersonville Lifestyle has been dedicated to keeping our readers up to date about the people, places and events that make the City by the Lake such a wonderful place in which to live, work and play. As we continue into our 9th year, we remain committed to telling the story of Hendersonville and Sumner County.
