As a full-service event design and planning company, Nicole Event Decor offers everything from venue selection and floral design to lighting, styling and full coordination. Owner Yadira Gonzalez crafts each celebration to reflect every client’s unique vision, regardless of whether the location is a large facility or someone's backyard.
"We understand that marking life's milestones is about more than just throwing a party. It's about creating an atmosphere of celebration and joy that leaves a lasting impression," says Yadira. "That's why we enjoy catering to a range of events, including quinceañeras, weddings, birthday parties, baptisms, graduations and more. We actually excel in the art of quinceañera designing and planning."
Sister business Will & Co Event Rentals, also owned and operated by Yadira, features a fully stocked showroom with event essentials including candles, lighting, tents, dance floors and everything needed to bring an event to life.
Yadira says their process begins with a personal consultation, during which they take the time to understand a client's vision for their special occasion. They then create a customized design proposal detailing every aspect of an event.
"I work with many people who don't know where to start. But they usually have a dream. For brides, they may've known since they were little girls what they wanted their wedding to look like for their own Cinderella moment. So, we start with desired colors and venue, then discuss the vision and how to make that come alive," Yadira explains.
She says most area venues should be booked one to two years in advance.
"We pride ourselves on meticulous coordination. Our team flawlessly executes every detail, ensuring a seamless flow of events and leaving clients and attendees to savor every moment without worry. We specialize in thoughtful design. From elegant weddings to vibrant birthday parties, our creative touch adds an aesthetic charm that makes your celebration truly unforgettable," promises Yadira.
Coordination is 101% necessary because there are 101 things that can go wrong at events, according to this experienced event planner. "We've had events close to perfection, however, unexpected things can happen, such as someone forgetting a critical piece of clothing, a cake gets dropped or someone faints. This is why working with a skillful planner is important because we have existing relationships with vendors and the power of vendors can help fix or rescue events when unplanned things happen."
Yadira says her business enabled her to learn about an array of traditions within a variety of cultures, such as:
- Indian three-day weddings during which the groom's family simulates "securing/buying" the bride.
- Samolian weddings attended only by females so they can remove hijabs (scarves) to uncover their heads, and with no cellphones allowed; anyone supporting or working these weddings must also be female.
- Mexican traditional dances that last into the wee hours of the morning.
- African American gatherings with changes of clothes.
- Romanian weddings during which the groom's family is expected to keep track of the bride's whereabouts as she traditionally disappears from the wedding venue and must be found by the groom's side. Locally, this typically means the bride vanishes to somewhere in Nashville.
- Arab weddings with females located on one side of the venue and males on the opposite side.
- Nigerian weddings that embrace spicy foods and brightly colored gowns worn by the bridal party and guests.
The company's dozen employees work from their Nicole Event Decor and Will & Co Event Rentals base in Lebanon at 713 E. Main St. They typically handle 120 events per year.
"I monitor trends in special events, and keep up with what's going on in draperies and favorite foods. I'm always adding new elements to my event designs and planning," assures Yadira. "I love those first moments when people walk into events, look around and exclaim 'wow,' and often start crying."

Yadira Gonzalez
As a young girl, Yadira recalls being the one in her family who made sure all holiday decorations were taken care of and meal tables were set just right. Previously, in her adult life, she worked as a paralegal until 2008, however, creative celebration concepts continued to dance through her mind. After posting pictures on social media regarding how she decorated for her son's birthday, people contacted her to ask if she could create special events for them. As of September 2026, she will be observing her own celebration of the 10th anniversary of her party planning business Nicole Event Decor. Additionally, she's operated Will & Co Event Rentals since August 2023.
