Chandler International Film Festival is a Rousing Success

Around 8,000 people attended the festival, which returned to Chandler for a sixth year

The sixth Chandler International Film Festival (CIFF) is now in the books, and it’s safe to say the event was a definite success.

Approximately 8,000 people attended the festival, which took place Jan. 18-23 at LOOK Dine-In Cinema.

CIFF featured more than 120 films from over 35 countries and six continents, as well as movie maker workshops, Q&As, panel discussions, and celebrity guest appearances.

Known as one of the fastest-growing film festivals in Arizona, CIFF was created to bring together filmmakers, industry professionals, and film fanatics to celebrate all genres of cinema.

Actress Sean Young and actors Pat Finn and Bubba Ganter made appearances at the festival. Finn, who is well-known for his Toyota commercials and has a long television and film career, also hosted an improv workshop during the event.

“Our favorite nights of the festival was the opening night red carpet and closing night award ceremony. We also enjoyed all of our great workshops, such as Hashtag Blessed, Abandoned Creatures, Second Chances, and Apache Leap,” says Mitesh Patel, CIFF president and festival director. “I have already started working on next year’s event and I cannot wait.”
