Founded in 2018, Chosen Women’s Apparel and Fine Art was born from Caroline Dowling Smith’s vision of a boutique where fashion meets purpose.
“I had always dreamed of opening a boutique that offered clothes that were making a difference—whether that meant giving back or holistic production practices,” she says.
Many of the brands carried at Chosen support charitable causes or prioritize ethical craftsmanship.
“I’m so excited to share the stories of these amazing companies with the community of Charlotte,” Smith adds.
This fall, Chosen introduces Louisa Misha, a Parisian line that partners with Saheli women who hand embroider each garment.
Smith notes this upcoming fall season feels “more tailored than in previous years,” with chic button-downs, western-inspired accents and a wave of olive green.
