Fond memories of baking in the kitchen with my mom and grandma arise as soon as I step into Chrissy G’s Bakery. The delicious smell of baked goods lingers in the air, mixing with the smell of fresh coffee brewing. Chrissy G’s Bakery is nestled in the middle of Elm Street, marked by a sign with bright purple lettering. It's a fantastic place to buy a sweet treat to eat while getting homework done or studying.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of speaking with the store's owner, Christine Gustafson, and the manager, Lee. I learned that before opening up her bakery, Christine was a dispatcher. Eventually, she found that baking was a business she could create at home. After running her business from home for about a year, Christine wanted to expand the business and have her own bakery open up on Elm street. Something unique about Chrissy G’s is that the menu changes weekly! Be on the lookout for her menu that is posted on Instagram and Facebook.
I found all of the desserts affordable, ranging in price from $3.00 to $8.00, which is good considering the fact that the portions are large. If you are craving something more savory, you could always get a sandwich between 11AM-2PM. Recently, over the holidays, charcuterie boards were featured on the menu list, and Chrissy G's often offers soups and breads.
If you have ideas for specialty or custom desserts, the staff can create the perfect treat for your next birthday, party, holiday, or event!
There are even student discounts applied for those who show their school ID at the register. This makes all of the delicious food even more affordable for the average college student who is strapped for cash.
Chrissy G’s provides a wonderful environment with incredibly friendly staff members. It makes going into the store that much better. Stop in to Chrissy G’s Bakery (124 Elm Street, Westfield) from Tuesdays 10AM-4PM; Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays from 10AM-5PM; or Saturdays 9AM-4PM.

What To Try
1 | Italian Love Cake
A rich chocolate cake with ricotta filling topped with decadent chocolate cream on top. It was absolutely delicious and I got a few servings out of it.
2 | Lemon Blueberry Cupcake
The sweetness of the frosting and slight tartness of the cake made me fall in love.

Many different types of sandwiches are offered here. Not only BLTs and clubs, but also build-your-own sandwiches too! This guarantees that you will fill your stomach with exactly what you want.
