If you're looking for some holiday spirit, a trip to Dahlonega just might do the trick!
Take a road trip about an hour and a half north of Chamblee and you’ll find Dahlonega, Ga., known for the town’s Old Fashion Christmas. From November 24 to January 7, the town is transformed into a magical, old-fashioned Christmas wonderland with a number of holiday events to bring out the Christmas Spirit in any Scrooge.
This year’s holiday events started with the Lighting of the Square on November 24 and include other festivities such as carriage rides, an art market, visits with Santa, Christmas caroling, and more throughout the holiday season. A Christmas Parade is planned for December 9.
