Frisco/Little Elm has a new shop, Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea Panther Creek, which is quickly becoming a favorite part of the community since it opened last October.
Jumoke Macaulay is passionate about her family’s shop. While they've only been brewing coffee since last fall, she's set her sites on becoming a mainstay in the area.
Sweetwaters was designed to offer first-rate café fare, alongside globally influenced coffees and teas in an environment that's both classic and friendly. The Macaulays made becoming part of the community a priority. A year before they officially opened, the Sweetwaters' team was out in the neighborhood announcing their future arrival and giving free samples. They went to a local church and promoted their shop at local farmers' markets.
Currently, they host a game night every Wednesday, from 5-9pm, and the person they credit for game night? Their 6-year-old old son. He wanted to be a part of the business and wanted to have fun while there.
The coffee shop walls feature art created by local artists, a fun chalk wall that's very “Instagrammable," and a meeting table that can be reserved for up to
10 people.
Sweetwaters offers matcha drinks, espresso, desserts and breakfast favorites. The cafe team prides themselves on making every recipe with clean ingredients. Jumoke is a coffee drinker, while her husband drinks tea, and their two sons are fans of strawberry lemon freezes.
Sweetwaters commitment to the community includes offering a free drink to FISD students with straight A-s and raising money for Frisco Fast Pacs. Over
the upcoming Mother’s Day weekend, they'll be collecting donations for Movers For Mom to deliver donations to women’s and family shelters.
