Clayton Chamber Of Commerce

Seven Decades Of Business Community Support

As Ellen Gale, executive director of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, thinks about the past year, she shares that she's struck by the incredibly strong and committed community of Clayton.

"I feel lucky to have built long-lasting relationships with our members, our sponsors, our board members and our volunteers. We have been able to continue to support our businesses throughout the pandemic because of these relationships," she says. "Next year, the Clayton Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 70th anniversary. We look forward to continuing to educate, support and connect our members for another 70 years."

There's still time this year, however, to join two upcoming events.

Clayton Chamber of Commerce members will host Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, executive director of St. Louis Lambert International Airport as featured speaker at the group's Nov. 17 "Lunch with a Leader."

The luncheon will be held at the Clarendale Clayton, 7651 Clayton Road. Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and talk from noon to 1 p.m. Advance reservations only may be made at ClaytonCommerce.com or by calling the Clayton Chamber of Commerce at 314.726.3033. The cost to attend is $20 and includes complimentary parking at the Clarendale – Clayton.

The chamber's "Pillars in the Community" event will honor Jason Hall, CEO of Greater St. Louis, Inc., on Dec. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, 100 Carondelet. Greater St. Louis is a bi-state metropolitan area that completely surrounds and includes the independent city of St. Louis, the principal city. Its staff is dedicated to St. Louis’ economic growth and prosperity as a global metropolitan region that expands economic opportunity for all.
