Clayton Member’s Club & Hotel

Modernism, modern architecture, modernist architecture - whatever label you go with, it’s something to behold. The minimalist style and dependence on asymmetry is undeniably eye-catching, with sharp lines that warrant awe-struck pauses. So, why not experience Denver modernism for yourself with a stay at the cutting edge Clayton Member’s Club and Hotel?

Designed by New York-based design firm AvroKO, the Clayton Member’s Club and Hotel was shaped to be “sophisticated, bespoke, and distinct,” according to the Clayton team. A central theme of Clayton's design is the “soul of Denver,” with a sheer emphasis on the city’s modernism and Colorado strata. It’s clear that its designers laced the design with hints of California styling, as seen in the architecture’s clean lines and linear planes. With a low-slung and layered design, the modern structure is irrefutably cozy while remaining strikingly stylistic.

A major inspiration of the Colorado strata is its reference to the state’s unique topography, carefully forged by mountains and rivers, and layered with sediment and stone. Well, when you walk through Clayton and its welcoming guest suites, this nature-driven ambiance is anything but subtle. Much of the hotel’s interior elements are reminiscent of this atmosphere, from the custom light designs and graphic elements to old school furniture selections that complement a modern setting.

Aside from its guest suites, the Clayton’s second floor is a stylistic beauty to behold. You’ll find a collection of indoor and outdoor spaces with views of Cherry Creek - a privilege private to members and guests.

The Clayton, although uniquely vintage, opened just over a year ago. The hotel features two new restaurants and an elevated craft cocktail bar dubbed Five Nines. They’re all open to the public, if you’re planning a date night in the near future.

Clayton Hotel guests and members enjoy access to members’ only restaurants and bars, fitness amenities, relaxing social spaces and lounges, co-working areas, and much more. And for expansive views of downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains, be sure to check out the rooftop restaurant and pool.

According to the Clayton team, the hotel sets itself apart in a variety of ways; from the mid-century decor and undeniable style to its 5,000 square feet of event space for life’s pivotal moments, it’s the preferred stay for Denver residents and tourists alike. Plus, guests and members enjoy close access to downtown’s best shopping.

Aside from quick downtown access, Clayton guests rave about access to membership club events, the rooftop pool, and a range of dining options both inside Clayton and within walking distance. Over 150 annual events, featuring unique speakers, emerging artist shows, live music, culinary events, and much more can be enjoyed by club members and anyone resting in a Clayton bed.
