Much of Arvada’s charm lies in its local family businesses that have been shaping the community for decades upon decades - and Arvada Vacuum is no exception. With a 48 year-old branch in Arvada and another 45 year-old store in Broomfield, the family business has been delivering quality servicing and top-tier cleaning products for nearly half a century.

Out of six total kids in the family, four of them work for the company full-time, and one part-time. Liz, Paul, and Dave Jr. have been running things ever since their parents, who worked together for over 40 years, retired and handed it over. Liz primarily handles the counter and sales floor, inventory, and bookkeeping; Dave Jr. runs the repair department, and Paul manages the Broomfield store alongside his wife Brandy and other brother, Phil. All-in-all, the family attributes their longstanding legacy to spotless customer service and simply selling better products.

Rather than pressuring a sale, the customer service at Arvada Vacuum takes a consultant’s approach. You can receive free estimates on most products for servicing, and get advice concerning whether it’s best to retire your vacuum or keep it running. In this way, Arvada Vacuum is all about educating their customers to find the most suitable product.

The store has two core offerings: selling vacuums and servicing vacuums. Product-wise, Arvada Vacuum rises above your typical department store inventory. German-designed Sebo vacuums, German-engineered Miele units, and classic Dyson products flaunt superior quality that will truly last. The company also sells air purifiers, basic cleaning supplies, scrubbing mops, and shampooers so as to tend to the whole home, rather than just the flooring.

On the service side, most makes and models of vacuums, central vacuum systems, and even sewing machines are welcome. As an environmentally-conscious business, Arvada Vacuum aims to extend the life cycle of their customers’ units rather than pushing for a new purchase. Additionally, if you’re sensitive to harsh chemicals, this is the cleaning store for you. Liz is sensitive to harsh cleaning products herself, and has found a number of safe-yet-effective cleaners over the years that are safe for your pets and family.
