As 2025 comes to a close, we asked Cocopah Middle School's student council to take the lead and poll the school. With the principal's green-light, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders weighed in on the Best of 2025, sharing their favorites across sports, style, music, and more.

Athlete of 2025
Corbin Carroll came out on top, with plenty of support for Cristiano Ronaldo, Devin Booker, LeBron James, Saquon Barkley, and basketballer Paige Bueckers.
Favorite College for Sports
ASU earned top marks for school spirit, with Alabama and Ohio State close behind. U of A also made a strong showing among fans.
Fashion Trend of the Year
Baggy jeans ruled, with oversized and boxy fits taking over the hallways. Athletic wear stayed strong as an everyday staple, and as for favorite store, Brandy Melville was the clear winner.
Favorite Arizona Restaurant
Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers took first place for best burger, followed by Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, and In-N-Out.
Top Music Artist
Benson Boone led the playlists, with Kendrick Lamar and Drake close behind.
Top Show or Movie
Student favorites included Quarterback, F1, Happy Gilmore 2, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Outer Banks, and SpongeBob.
Most Used Emoji
The smiley, skull, and crying faces topped text threads across campus.
