For most of us, coffee is an essential to our morning routine and for others, it’s a delicious social drink served at some of the most cozy spots in The Woodlands. Because of their shared devout love for coffee, five entrepreneurs have created some of the best aesthetic coffee shops in The Woodlands. Owners of Blue Door Coffee Co., Ome Calli Café, Dosey Doe, Levure Bakery, and Wilderlove all serve unique atmospheres yet delicious coffee!
Blue Door Coffee Co.
Sitting directly on the waterway, Blue Door Coffee Company serves an “upscale, inviting, and eclectic” vibe where they encourage the community to gather over a delectable cup of coffee. When asking owner, Monica, about the seasonal drinks, she described some of the most mouthwatering flavors! “We always have a pumpkin spice latte that is crafted with real pumpkin puree. It’s not super sweet and we rely on the complexity of spices with subtle pumpkin flavors. We are also introducing a honey fig latte this season. This drink combines the natural sweetness of honey with the fruity undertones of figs.” Even more desirable is knowing that Blue Door makes all their syrups (aside from the sugar-free ones) with real ingredients. It truly starts with a dream. “I would say it is just like anything worthwhile, plan to work really hard, don’t fear failure, be persistent, and surround yourself with amazing people who are strong where you are weak.” Approaching its sixth year in The Woodlands, Blue Door is not slowing down whatsoever and continues to serve fantastic drinks for the community!
Ome Calli Café
Nestled in a quiet strip off of Grogan’s Mill, Ome Calli Café is a delightful and welcoming atmosphere giving a “home-like vibe.” This vibe has earned it the name “The hidden gem of The Woodlands.” Ome Calli Café is unique through its attention to conscious eating and organic ingredients. One of their most popular drinks is The Alchemist which is a latte made with Cacao, cinnamon, and the Reishi mushroom. They also have a variety of regions for coffee beans. “For example, our Organic coffee from Mexico comes from Chiapas. We offer a variety of regions, including Guatemala, Kenya, Colombia, and Brazil.” When describing his start to owning a coffee shop, Miguel felt as if it found him! “I would say that the coffee shop found us. We used to be customers of this coffee shop, formerly known as Artisan Culture Coffee. The previous owner, Heather Brucks, offered the shop to us. We added our touch, culture, and flavors.” Ome Calli Cafe is quite the gem of a coffee shop and is definitely worth the visit!
Dosey Doe
Located in Alden Bridge within the quaint neighborhood hub is Dosey Doe Coffee Shop. Serving both hot and iced coffee, Dosey Doe has just about every flavor syrup you could imagine! And, if you find their coffee dancing on your taste buds then you can get it by the pound. Each coffee roast has a fun, country name such as “More Please”, “Rodeo Espresso”, and “Dinner Bell” to name a few! They are also known for their delightful breakfast items, some of which are scratch classics while others are creations of their own! If you’re looking for a classic, antique-filled, Americana decor cafe that has a classic charm then Dosey Doe is your place!
Levure Bakery
In Creekside off of Kuykendahl is the warm and welcoming Levure Bakery. With the aim to “create a cozy, European-style café experience where customers can relax, connect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of good coffee and freshly baked goods”, Levure Bakery is the perfect fall meet-up spot! With the desire to capture each season’s essence, Levure’s excitement for fall is evident! Their specialty drinks include the beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte and a Maple Pecan Cold Brew along with their regular staples like their lattes, espresso, and cappuccinos. What really makes their coffee delectable is their dedication to carefully sourcing coffee beans from reputable farms that emphasize ethical practices along with excellent quality. The same can be said for their teas which come from premium suppliers. When asked about owner, Jose’s dream of owning a coffee shop, he described his dream as a passion turned into a wonderful reality! “We turned that dream into reality by staying true to our vision, focusing on quality, and building a space where people feel at home.”
Wilderlove Coffee
Last but not least we have Wilderlove Coffee. While most think of a brick-and-mortar building for coffee shops, Wilderlove had a different idea! Their coffee shop is actually a coffee trailer surrounded by gorgeous oak trees and beautiful greenery. “As a team, we strive to create a peaceful and serene atmosphere where people can step out of the hustle of the world and into a corner of our city where time can stand still and the focus can be on community and craft.” Not only is their location beautiful, but so are the seasonal drinks! Some of their drinks include Royal 33, Sir Washington, and The Salty American which is a cold brew flavored with their house-made caramel syrup and topped with charred oak maple-infused cold foam. Delicious! When asked about starting a coffee shop, Wilderlove owners spent a year researching the coffee craft. “We did not settle for ‘good enough’ but instead became dedicated to excellence in our vision and craft.”
