For more than three decades, Piazza Discepoli has been a leader in providing locals with both sophisticated and accessible selections of wine and complementary accompaniments.
“Ultimately, Piazza Discepoli is about making your wine and food experience joyful, fun and exciting, regardless of your budget,” Seeley says. “We like to say that if you want a great $20 bottle of wine, we have it, and if you want a First Growth French Bordeaux, we have it as well.”
That didn’t happen by accident; the experienced staff at Piazza Discepoli has learned a thing or two since it opened in 1989.
“A remarkable amount of work goes into curating our exceptional selection of small-production estate wineries,” Seeley explains, “to create a unique experience in terms of knowledge, selection, customer service and wine and gourmet food education. Every wine is carefully selected and expertly chosen, ranging from entry-level price points to highly allocated wines across a variety of price ranges.”
Piazza Discepoli was founded by Cincinnati natives Marty Piazza and Guy Discepoli; Seeley purchased the business in 2021, dedicated to maintaining its celebrated selection while adding new, exciting products to its shelves.

Wine
You’ll find a curated selection at Piazza Discepoli. “Each of our wines is curated based on the region, the winemaker, winery and the value delivered,” Seeley shares. “We don’t necessarily look for big brands, but for wines that deliver an incredible experience. Our team is outstanding at pairing food and wine together to help you create a one-of-a-kind experience.”
Boards
The Piazza Discepoli team can craft a small board for two just as easily as a presentation for 200, using imported and domestic cheeses, dried fruits and the finest meats. “Our charcuterie boards are not only filled with fine meats, cheeses and accoutrements, but love and artistry from our team. Our boards excite all the senses,” says Seeley.
Gifts
The Piazza Discepoli team can create custom gift boxes or baskets for your loved ones near and far to celebrate any occasion. “We can include wine, olive oils, pasta, local legend Germano’s sauces, shelf-stable cheeses and lots of delicious snacks to create an amazing gift basket,” Seeley says. “We deliver locally and can ship gifts anywhere throughout the United States.”

Piazza Discepoli is a party waiting to happen. Stocked with foods and favors, it’s a convenient stop to prepare for gatherings. It’s also a cozy venue.
