Confidence has a way of changing everything.
It can soften self-doubt, inspire bold decisions, and, in the hands of the right leader, become something contagious. For Glow Haus founder Cindy Morales, confidence has become the foundation of a business that is transforming more than skin. It's changing the ways in which women see themselves, employees build their careers, and clients experience beauty.
That may be why Glow Haus has grown from a single treatment room into two thriving South Bay locations—Redondo Beach, which celebrates three years in September, and its new Manhattan Beach location. While medical-grade skincare and advanced treatments attract clients through the door, it's the genuine care Cindy and her team extend to every client that keeps them coming back.
Behind that growth is a team culture built on trust, encouragement, and shared success. Cindy believes when the people around her feel valued and supported, they naturally bring that same energy to every client who walks through the door. For her, building a business has never been just about expansion—it’s about creating a place where women feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Long before becoming an entrepreneur, Cindy watched her father build businesses after their family relocated to Guatemala from Northern California. Those early experiences shaped her entrepreneurial spirit. At 21, she moved to Los Angeles, where a career in dermatology led to more than a decade performing teen acne facials and chemical peels.
The greatest reward wasn't the treatment itself. "Just to see the kids walk in months after treatment, a little bit more confident, it really made me fall in love with that result," she said. "What I could provide for the community."
After COVID, Cindy felt called to create something of her own. Opening Glow Haus was exciting—but terrifying. "My dad was a business owner," she said. "He would always tell me, 'You were born to do something on your own.' It's very scary at the beginning like everything new is, but if you don't feel that fear, then I feel like after that jump is when everything kind of flourishes."
Her father passed away in 2018, but his unwavering belief in her continues to shape the leader she has become.
Today, Cindy leads with a philosophy that has little to do with titles and everything to do with people. For her, confidence isn't something you wear—it's something you help another woman discover. "You have to balance out being boss and being friend," she explained.
Having experienced workplaces where competition overshadowed collaboration, she was determined to create something different. Rather than simply managing employees, she encourages them to think like entrepreneurs. "I tell them, 'You are your own boss here. I am just here to advertise you and make you grow so you tell me your goals. Where do you want to be?'"
Cindy's investment in her team extends far beyond the treatment room. "I'm really big on continuing education because in our industry, it keeps on evolving," she said. "Today this cream works but tomorrow there's one better. We need to stay on top of that, because I like to have the latest of the latest, and the best of the best for my clients."
Education also strengthens her team's bonds. "When we go to these seminars, they love that I am the driver. We carpool in my truck, and we go and we have a great time. And then after that, we'll go have dinner somewhere and it's my treat. I want them to live that lifestyle and have a little taste of what it could be to have all of that."
That same generosity is what clients experience every day. "I've always kind of been the caregiver," Cindy explained. Appointments often become conversations about life's biggest moments. Clients share pregnancies before family members know, celebrate engagements, grieve the loss of loved ones, and trust Cindy through every season of life. With clients’ trust at the center of everything she does, Cindy encourages her team to create the same personal connection so every woman who walks through the door feels genuinely cared for.
In an era of skincare routines and endless advice on social media, Cindy understands why many women feel overwhelmed. "What I hear from my clients is there's just so much out there," she said. They tell her, “There's just so much information and I don't know what to believe."
Rather than chasing every viral product or passing trend, she helps clients navigate the noise with personalized recommendations rooted in experience. She stays at the forefront of skincare innovations, offering treatments like PDRN for radiant “glass skin” while keeping an eye on emerging technologies such as the Korean skin-tightening treatment XERF. However, trends only matter when they are the right fit for the individual.
As Glow Haus continues to grow, Cindy refuses to sacrifice the personal connection that built the business. "When you start to spread yourself too thin, then you just give droplets," she said. "We're not going to do droplets."
Instead, she plans to invest in additional support so she can remain fully present—for both her clients and her team. One text message over the Fourth of July reminded her why that matters. A single mother on her team wrote to say she had never been so excited about her career. "I was just so teary-eyed," Cindy recalled. "Holy moly, you're impacting people. You're feeding people's children."
For her, that moment became a new definition of success.
Looking back, Cindy said she's most proud that her journey has inspired other women to believe they can take their own leap. "I'm a huge believer of karma so when you pour, you're going to receive," she said. "When you're into just the dollar sign, that's when the doors start to close."
Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is beautifully simple. "Never give up and know that if you have the will, you'll find the way. It may not always be easy, but in the end it will always be worth it."
Cindy has spent years helping women care for their skin, but the transformation she's most proud of can't be measured in before-and-after photos. It's found in the confidence her clients carry out the door, the careers she's helping her team build, and the example she's setting for women ready to chase their own dreams—just as her father once inspired her to chase hers..
Because confidence never goes out of style.
"Never give up and know that if you have the will, you'll find the way."
