Cooking with Purpose

Leaf & Loaf turns everyday dining into healing, nourishing experiences.

For Sue Snape, food has never been just about feeding people—it’s about healing them. After 16 years in medical illustration and animation, Sue felt the pull of the kitchen. At 40, with two young kids at home, she enrolled in culinary school. It was a bold shift that changed everything. “It’s never too late to start something new,” she says.

Sue spent five years as a restaurant chef in Buckhead before striking out on her own to create Leaf & Loaf, llc. From the start, she built her business around the belief that Food is Medicine. “Food can hurt us, but more importantly, it can help us,” she explains. Her approach is grounded in fresh, colorful, nutrient-rich ingredients that are as beautiful on the plate as they are nourishing to the body.

Through Leaf & Loaf, Sue offers custom weekly meal prep services and catering services. Each menu is created uniquely for her clients—whether it’s a busy family needing healthy dinners, or someone newly navigating allergies and intolerances. She takes the stress out of eating well, making every meal something to anticipate with joy. One of her favorite client notes came from a retired couple: “We couldn’t wait for your car to pull out of the driveway. We ran to the refrigerator and had a giant taste-testing!” Sue laughs, “I’ve been cooking for them ever since.”

Her cooking style is unfussy yet vibrant: grilled vegetables, fish, and meats become the building blocks of colorful, nutrient-dense and satisfying dishes. When Sue is not preparing amazing food in her clients’ kitchens, she’s often at local markets, carefully choosing the freshest produce and cleanest ingredients.

Sue insists she hasn’t “worked a day” since culinary school. Through Leaf & Loaf, she shares her passion for good food and good health, inviting her clients to slow down, savor, and feel nourished in every sense of the word.
