Laura Legg has always had a love for traveling the world, but it wasn’t just the breathtaking views or bucket-list destinations that hooked her. It was the planning she put into crafting the
perfect vacation. What she found thrilling, others found overwhelming. So she began helping friends and family organize their trips. In 2018, Laura launched Castaway Destinations, a boutique, full-service travel agency based in Blue Springs.
When you meet Laura, you will quickly see how important family is to her. “As a mom of three with a busy household, I understand how valuable time together can be,” Laura shared. This year, with her oldest graduating from high school, Laura has reflected even more on how fleeting these years are and how important it is to take time to build memories with family. “It goes by so fast,” Laura said. “That’s why I love helping families carve out time to travel together—whether it’s a big trip overseas or a beach week with grandparents and grandkids. I want to help people create memories.”
