Launched in June 2018 and based in Greenwich, the team is led by event planner extraordinaire, Josefina Martinez, who has introduced a new concept for parties with a hybrid service. Their services combine exclusive themed rental options along with planning and setup services. Greenwich Lifestyle caught up with Josefina to learn more about the unique business she has created and why you should book her services to make for an unforgettable summer party experience.
GL: Can you tell our readers about Dream and Party?
JM: We are passionate about creating one-of-a-kind party designs and we love creating memorable experiences through our designs. It is not only about decor. We bring our client’s vision to life in the most original, stylish and unique way possible. Over the years, Dream and Party have established its own signature style and is recognized for its elaborate, high-end and unique designs.
GL: What types of services do you offer?
JM: We started offering themed party designs for sleepovers and picnic parties. We are now scaling up to adult and corporate bespoke event designs, and event planning services. We can help with almost all the aspects of a party. We also are embarking on new projects that will allow us to serve on many new fronts.
Over the last few years, the world has evolved to focus on experiences, that’s what we’re bringing into homes through the power of party designs. We take a theme and blow it out so that the environment becomes a unique and magical place for the guests – from being in a safari adventure to being in a unicorn world to a chic ambiance celebrating a mom’s 40th. It’s taking events beyond memorable and helping our clients build the lasting relationships we all want.
GL: Why did you decide to start Dream and Party?
JM: I learned about the teepee parties from my nephews in Colombia and I immediately knew that this concept would have a lot of appeal in Greenwich. I saw an opportunity to take sleepovers and kids’ parties to the next level. We wanted to offer an integral service aimed to help moms host hassle-free kids’ parties at home, but honestly, this tremendous business growth and expansion to new services, in such a short period of time, took us by surprise. Our service area now includes lower Fairfield and Westchester County. We are beyond grateful to every client that has trusted us with their special celebrations and has recommended our services.
GL: What is the best part of your job?
JM: We absolutely love styling and creating exclusive party designs. Seeing our designs become a reference in many countries is just indescribable. However, the best part of our job comes from our interaction with the clients. Whether they’re business leaders or busy mothers, these are people with high expectations, so when they ask for last-minute add-ons, or the headcount changes even 3 hours before the event, we make it happen. While we are event planners, we are also problem solvers with a creative flair. The satisfaction of seeing the looks on their face – including from the host who brought it all together – is something I never get tired of. It’s what makes this both fun and satisfying. We have had the fortune to work with the most adorable and amazing clients on earth. Our clients have motivated us and made us to growth. It has been a gratifying journey because of our clients.
